Veterinary Diagnostics in Manvel
Understanding Your Pet’s Health with Diagnostic Testing
Our pets can’t tell us what’s wrong when they’re not feeling their best. At Manvel Animal Clinic, we use the latest diagnostic tools to help us figure out what’s bothering your pet so we can get them back on the road to good health quickly. As an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited veterinary clinic, we are able to quickly diagnose and treat your pet using our in-house diagnostic services.
In addition to using our diagnostic tools when your pet isn’t feeling well, your Manvel veterinarian will use these tools in the service of your pet’s ongoing medical care. We conduct regular diagnostic testing as part of your pet’s routine wellness exams to keep an eye on your pet’s health and to establish a baseline of your pet’s normal health. This helps us to more quickly identify changes in your pet’s health down the line if they ever experience a health issue.
Diagnostic Laboratory Testing
Our veterinary team uses the latest diagnostic technology to help us diagnose your pet when they’re feeling unwell. The laboratory services we offer in-house help us get your pet’s results back quickly, which can make a huge difference in treating their condition.
Our in-house laboratory can perform tests such as:
- Fecal checks
- Heartworm testing
Each of the tests listed above provides our veterinary team with a wealth of information about your pet’s internal systems. We keep records of your pet’s tests on hand so we can quickly and efficiently compare your pet’s past results with their current ones, allowing us to more easily spot changes and developments in your pet’s health.
Digital Radiology at Manvel Animal Clinic
Radiological imaging is another important tool in the diagnostic arsenal at our clinic. We are proud to offer the latest digital x-ray technology to image your pet’s internal systems. X-rays are a non-invasive, pain-free tool that helps us see more than we would be able to with a simple physical exam. If your pet’s lab results indicate there is an internal issue, of if we suspect something is going on underneath your pet’s fur after a physical exam, your Manvel veterinarian may order a digital x-ray to more precisely diagnose their condition.
Digital x-rays can help us see:
- Detailed images of your pet’s bones, joints, and muscles
- Images of your pet’s teeth and jaw for dental exams
- Foreign objects
- Lumps or masses
- Internal organs
When used in conjunction with our other diagnostic tools, digital x-rays can be an essential tool in figuring out what is wrong with your pet. Our veterinary team will do everything we can do help get your pet back on all fours.
